Eco-arts agitator Bruce Caron withdrew his application to paint a 1,000-foot light blue line on downtown city streets to show where the sea level may rise as a result of global warming. Caron decided to cancel his controversial Light Blue Line after hearing from Mayor Marty Blum and Councilmember Helene Schneider-supporters of the project-that the project had generated too much opposition, particularly from real estate interests worried the project would lower property values.
