…But knife threat goes beyond cities

THE menace of knife crime is not confined to cities, official figures showed yesterday.

A detailed picture of the true extent of violence involving blades – revealed for the first time – showed rural police forces also deal with hundreds of cases. North Wales Police recorded 108 cases of knife crime, just over two a week.

The grim picture was revealed in annual crime figures which for the first time included separate data on knife attacks in every force in England and Wales.

And although the crime figures made cheering reading as a whole, knife crime continues to rise.

North Wales Police pointed out that the 108 serious offences involving knives in the force area were out of 22,151 in this category across England and Wales.

Assistant Chief Constable Ian Shannon said: “Knife crime in the force area is relatively rare and it is our intention to keep it that way.”

Shadow Welsh minister David Jones, Tory MP for Clwyd West, said: “Carrying a knife should routinely mean imprisonment. We need to be very tough.

“These figures show rural areas are not immune this sort of problem and it’s got to be treated very seriously indeed.”

Dubai adds another “world’s tallest” with the 1092 feet tall Rose Rayhaan hotel

Dubai was apparently not content with holding the title for “tallest building in the world”, so they added the tallest hotel in the world.

The 1092 foot tall Rose Rayhaan hotel features 480 rooms and suites, including several penthouses with a full kitchen.

Regular rooms are located on the 9th through the 51st floor, but for the best view, you’ll want to reserve a suite, which will put you on the 54th through the 60th floor. Rooms at the hotel start around $130, up to $575 for a classic suite.

The hotel is owned by Rotana, who operate 67 hotels in the Middle East. The chain started just 17 years ago, and has grown to be one of the largest hotel operators in the region. All properties in the chain are “dry”, which means you won’t find alcohol anywhere on the premises. The Rose Rayhaan is their 13th hotel in Dubai.

Of course, Dubai is the perfect location for a record breaking hotel. That said – there are several properties in the world with rooms at a higher level, but they are not in buildings completely devoted to the hotel.

Best Sidewalk Style – Rihanna

Despite the fact that I’ve spent most of the year complaining about Rihanna OTT style, lets face it she did make the sidewalk more interesting.

Victoria Beckham has held this title for 2 years, but a few flashes of brilliance earlier this month is not enough to reclaim her title.

Whilst most stars are wearing check shirts, flip flops and DIY cut-off denim shorts on the streets of LA, New York and London, Rihanna was wearing high-end fashion from Paris, Milan, New York and London.

My favourite street look from her is still the Gareth Pugh ensemble. It’s so OTT and the sunglasses at night are unnecessary but I love it anyway.

How To Lose Belly Fat Fast – Unique Trick For Losing Belly Fat

When working out to develop a flat stomach and six pack abs, it can be challenging to figure out which ab workouts are the best to help you lose belly fat fast. If you have been training for a while, you’ll notice that nearly all of the ab workouts you’ll locate on the internet are just regular old, boring mbt shoes abdominal targeting exercises. Pretty useless stuff if you desire a ripped midsection.

If you know anything about my training philosophy, you’ll know that I don’t teach folks to train the abs directly to lose belly fat. I recommend a more total body approach that focuses on using compound movements and building a positive metabolic response using unique full body workouts.

Here is a whole body workout that will help you build your endurance, build up your strength, and torch your belly cheap mbt shoes fat. The exercises you will use in this circuit are: Back squats, depth jumps, jump squats, vertical jumps, power shrugs, plyo step-ups, and reverse crunches.

Exercise Descriptions:

Back Squats:

-Stand with your feet shoulder width apart, toes slightly turned out.

-Keep the abdominals tense.

-Slowly descend until the upper legs are parallel to the floor.

-Maintain an upright position and avoid leaning forward.

-Push back into the start position.

85% of one rep max for 8 reps

Power Shrugs: (from the floor)

-Using a barbell, keep your head up, chest up, and hips down.

-Lift with cheap mbt shoes your legs from the floor to the knees.

-At the knees, explosively accelerate the bar up into a shrug while trying to “jump” up off the ground with a shrug at the top.

-Be sure to keep your arms straight through the entire exercise to prevent your arms from pulling the weight up instead of driving with the legs.

-Drop the weight to the floor after the shrug and repeat the lift from the ground.

4 sets of 8 reps

Plyo Step-Ups
Mbt Shoes />
-With one foot on a box or bench, drive into the bench with your lead foot and jump into the air.

-While in the air, switch feet and have the opposite foot land on the bench.

-Repeat this sequence rapidly trying to jump as high as discount mbt shoes you possibly can each time.

4 sets of 10 jumps each leg

Depth Jumps:

-Set up one high box about two feet away from a lower box.

-Step off the high box and as soon as your feet touch the ground, explosively jump straight up onto the lower box.

4 sets of 10 jumps

Jump Squats:

-Using a weight that is about 15-20% of your one rep max for the back squat.

-Dip into the squat position and jump as high as possible.

-Be sure to land under control with your knees bent. Be sure to land on the balls of your feet.

15-20% of one rep max for 10 reps

Vertical Jumps:

-From the standing position, jump as high as you can in the air.

Jump as many times as you can in 15 seconds.

Here’s the workout:

(You will complete this circuit two times with a:60 second rest between exercises)

1. Back Squat – 85% max – 8 reps

2. Power Shrug – 85% max – 8 reps

3. Jump Squat – 15-20% max – 10 reps

4. Depth Jumps – 10 reps

5. Vertical Jumps – As many as you can in15 seconds

6. Plyo Step-Ups – 10 reps

7. Reverse Crunches – 20 reps

I know that this workout circuit is not your regular old, boring and useless ab workout and the exercises listed in this article are probably not what you are used to. It may be tough to believe that you can lose belly fat and develop six pack abs without doing your regular abdominal targeting exercises like crunches and sit-ups, but by training your entire body, you will boost your metabolism, and torch the stubborn belly fat that is covering up your hidden six pack.

You can defeat your stubborn belly fat and crappy genetics by not following the herd and training smarter and not repping yourself into unconsciousness doing useless crunches and sit-ups.

Mike Alexander, owner of MADfit training studio in Beverly Hills, has worked with some of Hollywood’s hottest celebrities, including Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, Kristin Chenoweth and Amanda Bynes. He gives us his insider tips for getting red-carpet ready. Turns out, you ghd hair don’t have to be famous to flaunt an A-list body!

Q: How do you prepare a client for a role or concert tour?
A: “It’s specific to the role. When Jessica [Simpson] was playing Daisy Duke, she had to wear those super-sexy jean shorts, so we put a lot of focus on her butt and legs. She’s done other roles where she had on pants the whole time, but was going to be wearing a tank top or a wife beater, so we put more focus on the shoulder and arms.

“If I’m training someone for a concert or tour, I focus more on cardiovascular exercise because they’re going to be singing and dancing and running around. So it’s less about how they look and more about conditioning.”

Q: Speaking of getting Jessica Simpson ready to don Daisy Dukes, what suggestions do you have for reshaping your backside?
A: “I can’t promote squats and lunges and step-ups enough, because those are all ghd iv styer exercises that you can do with your own body weight and you can do them anywhere with very little or no equipment.”

Q:What tips do you offer clients who want to slim down for an event in a short period of time?
A: “Diet is very important. You have to eat really clean because every calorie counts at that point. At the same time, you don’t want to cut out too much. It’s important to eat because if you don’t your body’s going to hang on to the calories it does get and go into starvation mode. For exercise, I’d recommend doing two-a-day workouts: In the morning do cardio and in the afternoon do a quick weight workout with high reps. That will burn fat and create muscle tone.”

Q: What are common mistakes people make when starting an exercise program?
A: “You can have the greatest trainers in the world get together and devise a workout plan for you, but if you only do it once a week, you’re not going to get the same results as someone who works with a mediocre trainer, but exercises four days ghd straighteners a week. Also, the more consistent you are with your workouts, the less intense your sessions have to be. And again, diet is very important. I think people start to work out and they see it as an excuse to eat whatever they want. Sadly, that’s not the case.”
